Our Dance Classes

We teach different South Asian dance styles but we are very influenced by Indian classical dance and traditional/folk styles.
Although we include Bollywood, we often choose songs that connect to the Indian culture and this sets us apart from other dance schools.

We also offer professional dance training in Kathak and we recently organised a successful Kathak workshop with Vidushi Guru Shila Mehta.

Rupa still continues to be trained under Shila Didi’s guidance.

Our lessons run throughout the week in Birstall and Belgrave depending on age, ability and gender.

Frequent queries

Yes there is, all locations provide onsite parking. 

Payment is taken per term so we do not provide refunds for missed classes.
We follow the school term timings unless we have a showcase.

We do not usually invite parents inside as children perform better when they are left independantly.
We send regular updates on the childs progression.

We have a Annual Showcase where all children are given the opportunitiy to perfrom if they are ready.
We frequently get invited to local Community Mela’s and Ad-Hoc shows. 
We do not perform for private functions.

All lessons are planned and taught by Rupa – A Qualified Primary School Teacher with a Master’ in South Asian Dance Studies.
